Within a centralized financial aid services environment this position evaluates, approves, and awards financial aid to students in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations, policies, and operating guidelines. The successful candidate will assess financial needs of students, and advise students and parents regarding financial aid options, processes, and requirements. The position evaluates student academic progress and adjudicates academic progress appeals; participates as appropriate in systems/procedures planning and management; and implements and coordinates specific individual programs and/or assignments, in accordance with the overall objectives of the department. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: analyze and evaluate financial viability of students and families, and provide advice and counsel regarding available financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and the application process; review and assess eligibility of applications for financial aid; exercise professional judgment to determine whether adjustments should be made; review for accuracy and provide signature approval/disapproval of loan applications, promissory notes, and other financial documents. Neumann University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Coordinator of Student Health Services. This position reports to the Dean of Students and will deliver quality medical services to students by working with a contracted physician and other health services partners, as well as coordinate student health records and student health outreach. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: provide primary care, in partnership with the contracted physician and other University health partners, for student health concerns including appointment scheduling and follow-up care; serve as primary point of contact with the university’s third-party telehealth vendor for matters related to student physical and medical health; administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as outlined in Physician's Standing Orders; review immunization documentation requirements as established by the University in compliance with applicable laws; maintain current stock of medications and medical supplies; maintain appropriate student health records including reviewing and processing the medical records of incoming students; maintain current knowledge of campus and community resources for referrals for students; ensure maintenance of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, University policy, and relevant laws in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; assist in completion of annual report, monthly assessment/data reports, and yearly immunization compliance report, as assigned by Dean of Students; provide education and consultation on student related issues that are consistent with the mission and values of Neumann University’ consult on policy and procedures concerning student health issues as needed or requested by the Dean of Students; maintain current and timely level of expertise through ongoing training and professional development; and maintain current licensure on-file at all times with the Dean of Students. JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

The Division of Arts and Sciences at Neumann University, southeastern Pennsylvania’s Catholic Franciscan institution of higher learning, is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time (FLSA Exempt) position of Science Lab Manager. This position reports to the Dean of Arts and Sciences and works closely with the Department Head of Math and Sciences on all lab-related matters. The primary role of the Science Lab Manager is to oversee the operation and maintenance of the science laboratories. Duties include coordinating with faculty for the setup of scheduled science laboratories; taking regular inventory; ordering and receiving all lab supplies and equipment; serving as the primary liaison with lab-related vendors; overseeing repair of equipment; ensuring the proper disposal of hazardous waste; monitoring the operational budgets in Science; conducting all required safety training for the use of the laboratory; and maintaining the chemical hygiene and biological hazard plans for the science laboratories. The Science Lab Manager also serves as a member of the 校园安全/Accident Prevention Committee, the Science Olympiad Committee, and the Environmental Health and Safety Committee.

Job Title: Teacher Certification and Compliance Specialist & Certification Testing Coordinator


JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

Neumann University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Teacher Certification and Compliance Specialist & Certification Testing Coordinator.

This position assists the Professional Teacher Preparation Program at Neumann University in meeting regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania relative to the teacher certification process and assuring the School’s compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and federal reporting requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and oversight of all support, workshops, test guidance and preparation programs for teacher certification testing. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: assist with compilation and maintenance of required data mandated by the PDE and the federal government; assist the Dean in preparing relevant reports, particularly the federal Title II report, PDE annual survey, and PDE periodic reviews; communicate with Teacher Education faculty to ensure that the University’s undergraduate and graduate education programs comply with the PDE requirements for teacher and school professional preparation programs per Chapter 49.2; work closely with the faculty in our teacher preparation programs to keep them informed about changes in PDE regulations to ensure that all PDE-mandated records are properly maintained and that students are advised accurately; maintain certification testing database and process students’ certification applications in TIMS; provide support for graduating teacher candidates in using the TIMS system; report Act 45/48 credits to the PDE to ensure that individuals meet requirements to maintain teacher/administrative certification; monitor the Pearson testing lab and proctor testing in the lab; coordinate and teach workshops in Reading, Writing and/or Math; offer individual and small group tutoring and test preparation sessions weekly and work with faculty to encourage students to attend these sessions; identify resources for Teacher Education faculty to use in coursework to assist students with PK-4, special education and subject area certification tests.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or related area required; three to five years related work experience; experience with teacher certification testing and test preparation; demonstrated professionalism and maintenance of confidentiality; demonstrated ability to collaborate and to be proactive in engaging with faculty and students; ability to complete projects on time and report on status and progress of assignments; excellent organizational skills, follow-up/follow-through abilities, and attention to details; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; solid analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills; excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database software; and knowledge of and congruence with the Catholic Franciscan character of the University.
